Peak of Depression

The all-time piece I have ever made is Peak of Depression, a weaving I made honoring the time of my life that I lived for sunrises in the morning because my mental health was at its worst. This piece took around 35 hours to make and was definitely a learning curve.

About a year ago, I took a beginners fibers class at Arizona State University, where I’m currently attending university. It was probably one of the best decisions I’ve made because it started a lifetime love of fibers. Even though I’m primarily a painter and that’s the true love of my life, I still will gravitate towards fibers and have even started planning to incorporate it into my paintings (stay tuned for more)! I think this is my favorite piece because of how different it is from my usual medium. I love the colors in it and the texture of the piece.

This piece is currently for sale for $350 if anyone is interested!
